CORPORATE - company director

whilst out on location taking pictures at the funeral parlour for my alien environment, i also asked the company director if i could take some pictures of her. below are the images which i took of her and i initially thought that they weren't really any good as it was quite dark in the room where i photographed her so i asked her to stand near the window and as i was a little nervous i then asked her to move slightly which turned her away from the light i was trying to use.
this first picture is my initial edit which i wasn't very pleased with.
i later showed these to Andy and he showed me some editing which i could do to make the pictures more interesting and create more atmosphere. below is the picture which he edited himself.
after see what Andy had done with the picture i tried myself to recreate the affect, the first picture is the original and below that is my edited version. am quite pleased with it and i like the effect using split toning and various other tools in lightroom has created.

MY ENVIROMENTAL PHOTOGRAPHY

Last week i was asked to photograph an opening at Blackpool Airport. the opening was for some training rooms in which members of the airports team from ground staff to cabin crew could further there knowledge and gain qualifications.
the event was opened by Blackpool local Labour councillor & the boss at heathrow airport. i thought this would be a perfect opportunity for me to get some environmental images.
below are some from the day, am aware that some fit in to candid better than enviomental photography.

i included this as i descrided what part of the reason i was there.

the above 3 of me are the most candid images of them all.

councilor and heathrow airports boss.

one of Blackpool airports ground staff.

an adult learner recieving his certificate.

with the above 4 images i chose to use the planes as the back ground so there environment was clear at first glance.

MY 'FINE ART' PHOTOGRAPHY (final attempt)

this was my final photoshoot for my fine art, i decided on a nude shoot and got 8 volunteers for this. all of the images where taking in the studio using two lights both lighting the background, with the model in front (i later learnt that if i had used black boards at either side of the model there would of been less light bouncing back at them) although i think i do prefer the silhouettes with some light on them creating depth to the image.
i edited each all images in photoshop using threshold to create the white background and darker silhouette. these are the images i have for my final piece. I've used fuller length pictures and also more tightly cropped ones to this was so i could decided on which part of the body to focus on.

once edited i decided to use only the fuller body pictures for my final 8 images, i continued editing in photoshop which consisted of me using the rubber to take away any of the grey area's and creating a new larger canvas which i dragged the image on to.

MY FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHY (2nd attempt)

for my fine art photography i decided to do silhouettes, the concept behind this was to focus on body shape and form. i wanted to photograph men and women, i had 10 volunteers who were all willing to model for me. i initially wanted to do a nude shoot but some people only felt comfortable doing it in underwear or tight clothing.
below are the images from the first photo shoot, all pictures where taken at home using two studio lights which i point towards the wall, my subject was in front of the lights with as little light as possible bouncing back at them.
all editing took place in light room, initially changing each picture to black and white and then editing brightness, exposure etc accordingly.

after taking this set of images i spoke with my tutor and we decided that they would be better if the background was changed to completley white in order to make the silhouettes stand out better and make more of an impact and i also needed to have everyone wearing or not wearing as the case maybe the same thing.
