when starting my research out for fine art one of the first photographers i looked at was Jill Greenberg.
Greenberg's End Times, a series of photographs featuring toddler. The she method for getting the children to cry, in some cases, achieved by offering the children candy, then taking it away.
other artist i looked at included Jody Ake and Sally Mann.
Jody Ake creates portraits, nudes, still lifes and landscape images using the wet collodion process, an historic photographic technique which involves using a large format camera and glass plates. Ake is one of a handful of contemporary artists who have revived this photographic method, hand-mixing all of the necessary chemicals for each and every exposure.
JODY AKE
Sally Mann's black and white photographs of her children portray the universal qualities of dignity, individuality and intimacy.
